AADL and local artists celebrate dedication of Black History Bicentennial Mural

The Ann Arbor District Library and local artists celebrated the Black History Bicentennial Mural Dedication Friday after nearly a year of collaboration. The mural stretches across the south side of Library Lane, featuring eight distinct panels composed of photographs from the Ann Arbor District Library archives. Local Black artists Rachel Elise Thomas, Scott Wesson Everett, T’onna Clemons, Lauren McHale Mills, Takeisha Jefferson, Ricky Weaver and Cheyenne Fletcher, each selected and transformed these images using their unique artistic medium.
